Ed “Eagle Man” McGaa

Ed McGaa, pictured here in 1967 at Chu Lai, Vietnam, flew 110 missions as a fighter pilot during the Vietnam war.

In this episode the life of a brave American from South Dakota is highlighted. The story comes from an article in the Rapid City Journal by Danie Koskan. The story outlines how Ed “Eagle Man” McGaa a 78-year-old Oglala Lakota author and former Marine Corps pilot succeeded in all walks of life.

After flying 110 combat missions in Vietnam as an F-4 pilot he came home and enrolled in law school and later became a writer with a passion of telling the true story of the Sioux people and their proud culture and heritage.
