There is coming about a monumental shift in attitudes toward Vietnam Veterans. In this episode an article from the Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro, Tennessee by Scott Broden tells about an event in Murfreesboro that is indicative of those changing attitudes.
The event was a candlelight ceremony to honor Vietnam War veterans. The Tennessee Commissioner of Veterans Affairs Many-Bears Grinder was in attendance and she thanked the gathered Vietnam Veterans for their service.
Bob Mims, a Murfreesboro resident who served in the Marines during the war talked about his Hope Farms homeless shelter for veterans, which will use horticulture therapy to help rehabilitate those seeking assistance.
