306 VVN – Marine Vietnam Vet Virgil Melton, Jr. Recalls Tank Battles

Virgil Melton, Jr. left the farm in Texas to do his part in Vietnam. He joined the Marine Corps as a 19 year old student and a few short months later he was in country taking part in tank battles in the DMZ.

He tells his story in an article found in the Tyler Morning Telegraph. The story submitted by Jacque Hilburn-Simmons is titled: Virgil Melton Jr. recalls service as tank commander.
