Another member of that great Vietnam Veteran Generation is featured in this episode. This veteran is even more unusual in that he served two tours in Vietnam before became a citizen. Pete Schofield was featured in an article from the Redstone Rocket titled: Soldier became citizen after returning from Vietnam. The article was submitted by our old buddy Skip Vaughn, Rocket editor. In the article we learn that Schofield’s parents moved to Schenectady, New York from Canada in 1957. Young Pete joined the Army just in time to go to Vietnam where he served with distinction in the Corps of Engineers. He retired from the Army after 21 years of service. Hope you enjoy his story in this podcast.
