Episode 2465 of the Vietnam Veteran News Podcast will feature story about how National Vietnam War Veterans Day will be celebrated in Oregon.

This episode of the podcast will take a look at how Vietnam Veterans are being honored in Oregon. The episode is dedicated to the memory of Gary Long. He was a Cobra gunship pilot who flew with your pod-caster in A Battery, 4/77 FA (ARA), 101st Airborne Division. Gary was an Oregon resident who recently passed away.

Steve Bates, Member of the Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America and an Honorary Life Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He serves as Chair of the Committee on Memorials and Remembrance and President of the Vietnam War Memorial Fund.

Steve Bates has been a resident in Boring for 46 years and is a Life Member of the Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America and an Honorary Life Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He serves as Chair of the Committee on Memorials and Remembrance and President of the Vietnam War Memorial Fund. He can be reached at: vietnamwarmem@aol.com.

He wrote an opinion piece titled: My View: Join the celebration of Vietnam War Vets on March 29. The Outlook, founded in 1911, was named the Gresham Outlook for its first 80 years. Since 1991, it’s been part of the Pamplin Media Group and continues to serve Gresham, but also the rest of East County, offering the region’s best and most-trusted source of local news, features and sports coverage as well as display advertising, classifieds, public notices and obituaries.

He reported that plans for a Vietnam War Memorial on the Oregon State Capitol Grounds have been approved. All that is needed to proceed with construction is adequate funding.
