Pulitzer winning journalist Seymour Hersh
Episode 2450 of the Vietnam Veteran News Podcast will feature a story more about how the Norwegian Navy participated in the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. The featured story comes from the Counter Currents website and was titled: Covert Operations In Vietnam: The Incomplete History of U.S.-Norway Collaboration. The featured story describes the relationship between the C.I.A. and the Norwegian Navy. It seems Pulitzer winning journalist Seymour Hersh has discovered that our president Okayed the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines that lie in the Baltic Sea and did provide Germany with cheap Russian natural gas.
According to Hersh, he found that the C.I.A. enlisted the aid of the Norwegian Navy to get the job done. He also discovered that the Norwegians had a hand in the Gulf of Tonkin Incident that occurred back in 1964. That is the event President Lyndon B. Johnson hung his hat on to send 500,000 American military personnel to fight a war in Vietnam.
Hersh claims decades before allegedly helping it bomb European gas lines, the Norwegian military aided the CIA’s undeclared war in Vietnam
Six decades before Norway helped the CIA destroy the Nord Stream gas pipelines, it gave the agency heavily-armed boats that it used to target North Vietnam. Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh wrote Norway’s involvement in this secret war was deeper than previously reported.
In explaining why the U.S. chose Norway as its partner in destroying the Russia-to-Germany gas lines, Hersh said on Wednesday that the “Norwegian Navy has a long and murky history of cooperation with American intelligence.”
One may wonder why the C.I.A. chose Norway as a partner for clandestine operations. It seems Norway has become proficient in building large armed boats to defend its 1,400 mile coastline. They were motivated to do that after the treatment they received by the Nazi’s during World War II.

Prados, et al, has dismissed what they said, which I find inconceivable and ironic considering his lack of background.
It is too bad that the error continues to be repeated.
